We all have that special book, or series, or author that has captured our imaginations.   Maybe it changed our lives, made us sad, made us laugh, or scared us half to death.   Maybe we read it in 3rd grade, in the car on the way to Gramma’s house, or yesterday.

What book will you always remember?   Why?   When did you read it?

I’ll start us off.   Many years ago (don’t ask) I started reading the Walter Farley horse books, like The Black Stallion, The Island Stallion, and the few that followed.   I was already horse crazy and read them over and over.   Imagine how excited I was when the movies came out.   (think Twilight)

What’s your story?

twilightWho would have thought that books about vampires would become the most popular genre in teen reads today?   It seems we just cannot get enough of the creepy, blood-sucking, but usually incredibly gorgeous, characters that come in all shapes and sizes.   Some are good, some are evil, and some fall somewhere in between.

Could it be because most of them are a delicious concoction of mystery, thrills, romance, adventure, horror, and even humor at times?   Now what reader could ask for more?
